Epiphany
Epiphany is a natural. God-created and God-blessed with the gifts of song and written word. She discovered a love for the art of vocal music in the 5th grade when she was selected to sing, “Can’t Get a Man with a Gun” in the musical Annie Get Your Gun. Since then, she’s been driven by God and His purpose to use her gifts as a testimony to His glory and an inspiration to the world.
Epiphany spent her teens honing her vocal talent as a member of R&B girl group, N-tyse, while also studying classical music at the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts.
She has developed as a lyricist, writing her own music, as well as writing for Houston’s Music World Entertainment artists and Universal recording artist, Dallas. She currently serves as Music Director of the Awakenings Movement.
Epiphany has been seen on NBC’s Clash of the Choirs, sharing a stage with world renowned artists, Kelly Rowland, Patti LaBelle, Nick Lache, Michael Bolton, and Blake Sheldon. She has appeared on BET’s 106th & Park and opened for rap sensation, Lil Flip. Epiphany was requested to perform by 2002-2003’s Miss America and was a featured artist for Dr. J’s All-Star Weekend Birthday Bash.
Epiphany’s music is experimentally inspirational. Refusing to be cast into one genre, she uses her music as an exploration into all styles of music, including pop, R&B, neo-soul, funk, Hip-Hop, and folk. As evidenced in her single, “Fall Back” a mix of folk melodies and Hip-Hop beats, Epiphany’s music is always a testimony to her struggles, her joy, her passion, and the things around her that inspire her art.
